Nexudus integration
Printing for Nexudus spaces, billed where your members already pay.
Commontray connects to Nexudus. Members print from the Members Portal with the login they already have, printing credit from their plan is used first, and the rest lands on their next Nexudus invoice. No spreadsheets, no separate accounts.

How it connects
Connected in three steps.
-
Install Commontray
Run it on a computer at your space, or plug in the Commontray Box. It shows a Device ID.
-
Associate it
Sign in with your Nexudus admin account on Commontray’s admin page and pick the location, or paste the Device ID under Settings › Registered devices in Nexudus.
-
Add printers and prices
Find printers on the network, set a price per page and choose the printing credit type. Members can print straight away.
Members print with their Nexudus login
Members open the Print page in the Nexudus Members Portal, or scan the printer’s QR sticker, and sign in with the account they already use to book rooms and pay invoices. Nothing to install and no second password.
- Only customers of that location can print there.
- Passwords go straight to Nexudus and are never stored by Commontray.
- Every page and the price are shown before they confirm, with their credit balance.
Charges become Nexudus sale lines, exactly once
Commontray creates one hidden product per print type, such as Printing – A4 color, the first time it’s needed. After each job prints, the pages go on the member’s open sale line for that type, so a month of printing is a couple of tidy lines on the invoice, not dozens.
- Charged after the printer finishes, for the pages it printed.
- Color detected page by page, so black & white pages cost black & white prices.
- A unique key on every sale line means a retry or restart never bills a job twice.
- Credit from plans, bundles and admins is used first, as Nexudus does for bookings.
Printing credit first
The member’s own credit, then their team’s shared credit, soonest to expire first.
Then the invoice
Whatever credit doesn’t cover goes on their next Nexudus invoice.
Never for nothing
Failed, cancelled and never-released jobs make no charge at all.
For admins
Managed from Nexudus
Your Nexudus admins
Admins sign in to Commontray with their own Nexudus accounts. Every change is logged with who made it.
Activity in Nexudus
The registered device’s log shows connections, printer problems, changes and a daily status line.
Location settings
The Commontray Box follows the location’s time zone, and its screen speaks the location’s portal language.
Questions
Nexudus integration questions
Do members need a separate account to print?
No. They sign in with the same email and password they use for the Nexudus Members Portal. Commontray only accepts customers of the location the printers belong to.
How do printing charges reach the invoice?
Once the printer finishes, Commontray adds the pages to the member’s open sale line for that print type in Nexudus, for example “Printing – A4 color”. Nexudus puts it on their next invoice as usual. Each job is written exactly once, even after a lost connection or a restart.
Which printing credit is used?
The Nexudus printing credit type you choose. The member’s own credit is used first, then credit their team shares, soonest to expire first, and only credit valid at that location. What credit doesn’t cover goes on the invoice.
Where do we manage printers and prices?
In Nexudus, or on Commontray’s own admin page. Settings saved in Nexudus take priority, and changes apply within five minutes without a restart.
Can we try it without charging anyone?
Yes. Commontray has a billing test mode that shows prices and credit balances but only logs the charges it would make. Use it with a Nexudus sandbox while you set up.
Already on Nexudus? You’re most of the way there.
Install Commontray, associate it with your location and add your printers. Members print with the login they already have.
